Editorial Design: Annual Report

How do you not only convey the impact of leaders in the frontlines of social liberation, but also warm the hearts of the viewers once witnessed? This was my challenge and inspiration when hired to design El/La Para Translatinas’ Annual Report. Based in San Francisco, this organization works to build collective vision and action to promote the survival and improve our quality of life for translatinas: “Because we exist in a world that fears and hates transgender people, women and immigrants, we fight for justice.” The report combines celebratory illustrations and photography to present the volunteers are superheroes. It was my honor to be able to bring beauty when communicating the impact of this mission and help them further raise funds for their work.
